Oh, how I miss Carrefour and Ikea! Those were my stompin grounds when we lived in Lisbon when I wanted to do more shopping than the local butcher, drygoods store and fresh open air market! Amazing pictures of orchids - and I know you must have seen an amazing variety of other native plant species as well. You must have a good camara - nice photos! We had Carrefours in Madrid also. The ones in Singapore weren't nearly as nice.
I have been meaning to respond when I read your comments but ... well, just haven't.
I am enjoying myself. I really do like to find out all these interesting cultural things. My only regret is that I can't speak the language. I would dearly love to talk to the people.
Yet on the other hand, I am missing my kids more this time than last time. Not sure why. My daughter is getting married in October. Weird feeling.
